Afraid To Make The Wrong Decision?

“Indecision is often worse than wrong action.”- Henry Ford

The fear of making the wrong decision is, like all false fears, debilitating . It keeps you stuck, feeling paralyzed, boxed in, and afraid to make any type of move. So…in an attempt to try to remain in some sort of control, you don’t do anything.

Being stuck sucks.

Like Henry Ford states in his statement above, indecision feels worse than making a “mistake”. Why? Because taking action gives you confidence and having confidence helps you feel more
courageous. When you feel courage you take more action. You evolve as the result and get to do it all over again as you go to new levels of self-discovery.

As I referenced Learning To Trust Yourself Article imagine that every decision that you made was the “right” one and it moved you forward on the path of your Divine Plan? So in Truth, you couldn’t really make a mistake. It truly is fantastically freeing!

Another fantastically freeing distinction on your journey to moving forward and making confident decisions is – knowing the difference between Trust and Faith.

The key distinction is: Trust is having the courage to take the action and doing what you need to do. Faith is surrendering the results to your Higher Power and knowing that whatever transpires happens for your highest good.

Doesn’t this knowledge help you to know that it’s not totally up to you to know exactly how things will transpire and turn-out? Doesn’t it feel good to know that you aren’t completely
responsible for your results? Another freeing realization isn’t it?

So, how do you know if the decision you make will be the “right” one? The real litmus test for knowing what to ‘do’ and what action to take is to ask yourself some key questions which
include:

  • Will this action/decision move me closer to knowing my Real Self (more confident, courageous, deep, spiritual, in the flow of life, etc.) or not?
  • Is this something that my soul is calling me to do, even if it feels really scary?

  • Will this decision put me a position to evolve, and potentially help others evolve in the future?

If you answer “Yes” to all three then you know what to move forward on and what not to. The key thing to remember is – to not give too much head-space to your decision making process and rather to give it more heart-space. Your heart knows the action you need to take next (not 30-days from now) but next, within the next day, the next week at the most.

Nike reminds us to “Just Do It!®”

Take action no matter what and I promise you that you won’t regret it. You’ll be a stronger, more confident, more grounded person as a result – as long as your decision is soul-based and feels right and True.

To help move you forward, here is a little challenge for you: What decision do you need to make that you’ve been fretting about for days or weeks?

This is your ‘sign’ from the Universe that the decision must be given a Yes or a No. Make it now and let whomever is involved in it know within 48-hours. Once you take action you’ll feel so FREE – that’s my guarantee! I promise.

Love,

Brenda
